Hi there beautiful readers!

Lately me and my hubby have been busy trying to find how we will renovate our home. It is going to be a long process, I'll tell you that!

Anyhow, I find crochet relaxing after the nervousness of trying to decide what tiles to get for the bathroom. However I am not so in to it if I don't have a good enough reason. Yesterday I found one!

There is four year old girl in our circle fighting with cancer. I cannot start telling you how hard it is to comfort parents of kids in this state, I am sure some of you know what I mean.

So I started to crochet a warm hat for this sweetie, the least I could do to try to make her smile. I didn't have any idea how to do it, since it was my first attempt on something like that. I usually make borders for my jewelry but never a "big" project like a hat!

Well I figured that I had to make a circle by increasing stitches, then decrease a little and keep it steady under the decided length was reached. And so I did. What do you think? It is a bit cute no?

I added some border to it just to make it more girly!

Then I thought that wool would not sit well on a hairless head (so sad) so I used a stretchy white cotton fabric and covered the inside. I am not quite thrilled with the result (it was really difficult hand sewing the top inside) but I think it is comfy.

I am now thinking of adding a crochet bow on the side. What do you think? Would it go well or is it maybe too much?

I would appreciate any recommendations on sites with free crochet patterns (easy ones please) for hats and scarves. I am not going to use them for selling the products in my shop, just making things to give away to those in need.

After all winter is getting colder and colder and having a warm hat can't hurt!!!

Thank you for all your support!

Smouts!
