Get Your Summer Wardrobe At A Bargain

Hello darlings!
Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes the new summer fashion line. We all love buying new clothes and shedding our winter jackets, but we can’t justify spending money on a new wardrobe every year. Fortunately, there are several ways to update our summer style without paying designer prices.
Buy second hand
If a stylish summer dress is calls to you loudly enough, a budget can easily be forgotten. Luckily, you can give in to temptation for a bargain when you shop second hand. If you want something of a higher quality, go to shops in upscale neighbourhoods and get something absolutely stunning for a fraction of its high street cost. What some call ‘old’, others call ‘retro.’
Look for discounts
If the summer fashions are in, then that means the spring line needs to go. Browse your local high street for the sales, or look online for discounts. Even designer shops have to clear out their outdated stock, which means you pay up to half price for something that would have cost a fortune a month ago. Use a lord and taylor promo code to buy that designer dress you’ve had your eye on all spring.
Clothes Swap
Of course, why spend money at all if you have friends who are about the same dress size as you. Chances are you’re not the only one who can’t afford to spend money on new clothes this season, so the best solution is to get a group of friends together and organise a clothes swap. Perhaps there’s a shirt or dress of theirs that you’ve always admired that they don’t want anymore. Maybe you have something that no longer fits you that would suit them perfectly. The more friends you invite, the more options you’ll have. It’s also a fun way to spend a day together.
Get creative
If you have a creative flair, you can just update your existing wardrobe by customising it. You don’t need to be handy with a needle to achieve good results; sometimes fabric glue will do the job just as well. If you have items of clothing that you still love, but are a bit worn out, simply repair the holes and wear them again with pride. If the clothes you found at the back of your wardrobe don’t quite match your tastes anymore, give them a fresh look before you consider throwing them away. No one else will have your fabulous new wardrobe, so you look will be completely unique.
Only buy the basics
Some high street stores have a ‘basic’ line, which includes shirts, skirts, and trousers that have no enhanced designs or patterns. These are cheaper than items with patterns or creative designs, but the upside is that these are often updated along with the rest of their seasonal lines. With the right combination of shoes, bag and belt, even the most basic outfit can be transformed into a fashion statement.
