I've recently realised that I haven't shared one of my favorite crochet patterns with you. I haven't been very active on my blog lately because...life but today it's time to share with you my Flower Placemat Free Crochet Pattern!

I love to give gifts I've made myself and crocheting or knitting gifts is my favorite way to say "I love you" to my friends. These placemats were born out of need - as is commonly the case with many of my patterns and tutorials. I needed some placemats for my kitchen so I made some. But them my mom saw them and she loved them so I made some for her. Then I made some for my sister and then some more for my kids' teachers!

It's a very fast and truly easy to follow pattern and you can make a few in an afternoon. It's highly satisfying starting and finishing a project in one go, isn't it? I bet my more seasoned crocheters can make a whole lot for market prep too! They sell nicely since they are a gift for every person with a home! Read below for the Flower placemat free crochet pattern.

Pattern

In yellow color yarn

Make a mc,

R1. Ch3 (as one dc), 11dc in the mc, sl st to join in the 3rd ch [12dc], change to red yarn

R2. Ch3, dc in same st (this is the 3rd ch from the previous round), inc around, sl st to join in the 3rd ch [24dc]

R3. *sk1, 6dc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts* repeat ** 3 more times, sk1, 6dc in next st, sl st in last st, do not cut yarn

Now you are going to make a loop for hanging the placemat. Depending on your yarn and the length of the loop you want, make a series of ch (rounghly double the length of the loop you want) and sl st to join the loop in the same st you begun from.

Cut and secure yarn ends.
